Yes. It’s true. Our Camper stop was the first one in ex Yugoslavia. We started welcoming first campers in 1989. The idea about camper stop came from a journalist Andrej Sedej, who was the first person in Slovenia writing about caravanning, in the 80s already.

The camper stop is part of the The Kanu family hotel, which is located next to Zbiljsko Lake, in a peaceful and idyllic environment not far from Slovenian capital city Ljubljana, smaller but beautiful Kranj and Ljubljana Airport. Zbiljsko Lake offers possibilities of boating, canoeing, sailing, fishing, bicycling, walking or panoramic boat ride with St. Lucia. 

Our camper stop is big enough for about 40 campers. You can refill water, dispose of your waste and recharge batteries. We really wish to make your stay plesant and comfortable, therefor we are offering a free service of various utilities, including free wi fi and free (hot) water.

You are more then welcome to come with your children and your pets, as we are very family friendly and your children will have plenty to do on our estate. Adjacent to the hotel, there is a spacious multi-purpose area, intended for relaxation, sports and entertainment. Guests and visitors have at their disposal beach volleyball and badminton courts, as well as a tennis court. The courts are suitable for individual games, as well as for the organisation of sports tournaments.

In warmer months, drinks, ice cream and snacks are available from the summer bar on the large terrace next to the hotel, where there are also deckchairs for our guests to relax while enjoying the view across the lake.

Larger gatherings are offered a picnic area, while we also organise children’s birthday parties and other events for the little ones, where they are entertained by Pippi the Shepherd. Children will enjoy taking part in Pippi the Shepherd’s creative activities, playing in the sandpit and visiting the petting zoo. Guided pony riding and many other educational and fun activities are also available.
